The Youth Club (run by The Gr@nd) still meets on Monday evenings in the Village Hall or outside during nice weather. It now runs from 16.30 until 19.30.
A polite reminder that residents should not park on footpaths, or on community land. Vigo Parish council will seek to recover the cost of repairs resulting from damage caused by parking on community land

Have you heard rumours about the Bus Service 306/308?
Vigo Parish Council is aware that there has been much speculation and rumour about the bus service to the village since KCC announced its review of supported bus services. Some of the information published in local newspapers was inaccurate adding to the concerns of residents.
The 306/308 service is mainly a commercial one operated by Arriva. All the journeys between Borough Green and Gravesend during the daytime are commercial. Arriva have assured the Parish Council that they have no plans to alter this service.
All journeys between Borough Green and Sevenoaks are supported by KCC
The evening service from Borough Green to Bluewater is supported by KCC
It is these supported journeys that could be affected by any plans to reduce spending by KCC
KCC has stated that after its review, proposals would be put out to consultation before any final decisions are made. The Parish Council would urge all residents to respond to this consultation that is likely to be in January 2018.
VPC hopes this clarifies some of the misconception that is out there at present.

Parking on Waterlow Road by Country Park Users
Vigo Parish Council is aware of the problems created by people using the Country Park who park on Waterlow in order to avoid the parking fee. This creates a difficult and dangerous situation especially when cars are parked on the bend opposite the park entrance.
VPC has requested that Kent Highways paint double yellow lines on the bend. We have been told that this is not possible as there have not been any accidents caused by this parking. It is not ‘safety critical’!
VPC are exploring other avenues to see if there is anything else that can be done to help alleviate this problem
